The Democratic Republic of Congo has a history that is both beautiful and tragic. This page is dedicated to raising awareness of and providing resources and information about the on going 17 year mineral conflict war in the eastern Congo that has claimed the lives of at least 6 million Congolese people.

This human tragedy, the greatest humanitarian crisis since the second world war, too often goes unreported and is unknown, however, everyone in the world is connect, particularly if you use smart technology; mobile phones, tablets, laptops etc, as the war is based on exploitation of resources, in which many multinational corporations (and foreign and domestic governments alike) are implicated.

Please take some time to watch the short documentary Crisis In The Congo: Uncovering The Truth and read through the resources available. Also, if you could be part of the change and raise awareness, even if it is just by sharing this page, it would be a great act.

Also included are a list of organisations both in DR Congo, and internationally, that are doing incredible work to bring about change and everlasting peace in the country.

No one person can do it all, but we can all do one thing. Thank you.
